SCOTT
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Scott (he/him) has been playing Table Top Role Playing games - especially Dungeons and Dragons, for over 40 years. His background as a video game designer spans a career of over 15+ years working for companies such as Disney Interactive, Scopely, Zynga, KIXEYE, and as CPO for Firefly Games. Now, he is turning his creative vision towards creating the best interactive storytelling program the world has ever seen, and he's excited to see what sort of new stories we create together.

SABRINA
PROJECT COORDINATOR

Sabrina (she/her) has an expansive career including Architecture, Finance, Project Management, and Community & Youth Services. The one constant has been a commitment to building communities & connections, and she brings this passion to The Hero Workshop, taking care of projects big and small. Outside the office and game rooms you can find her hiking and backpacking with her family and scout troops.

CLAIRE
GAME MASTER
AFTERSCHOOL COORDINATOR

Claire (she/her) is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and comedian. She received her BA in Media Arts from BYU, where she focused her studies on writing, producing, and overanalyzing Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! As a GM, she uses TTRPGs to help players develop their own improvisational storytelling and critical thinking skills. She believes the stories we tell can give us the tools we need to become heroes in our everyday lives.

SEAN
GAME MASTER
SOCIAL MEDIA

Sean (he/him) is a bartender and avid enjoyer of all things D&D. He has been playing since 2015 and is originally from Orlando Florida. Sean likes to use his improv skills to keep his tables fresh and interesting both in role playing and running combat. Creating a fun and safe collaborative energy at the table is one of his top priorities. Sean enjoys going on hikes, playing videogames, and eating all the amazing food in Los Angeles.

TIM
GAME MASTER

Tim (he/him) is a substitute teacher with the LAUSD and a trained actor and comedian. Tim is also an experienced Dungeon Master and lover of Dungeons and Dragons. Tim combines his passion for the game with his long honed ability to bring characters to life through voice and physicality. But from all of these elements of Tim’s background he brings a love for collaboration and storytelling. The best stories are those we tell together.

RANDAL
GAME MASTER
MAGIC REFEREE

Randal (he/him) joins The Hero Workshop from the wild world of book stores, where he managed retail and ran table games. An Eagle Scout, Randal comes to us with over 17 years of experience as a DM.
Also, Randal is proficient in Japanese!

KAYL
GAME MASTER

Kayl (he/him) is a lifelong fan of most things nerdy and has been DMing for well over a decade. Having spent much of his professional career doing IT and customer service in various fields, the problem solving and collaborative aspects of adventure and dungeon delving are some of the things he most enjoys highlighting at his tables.

JESS
GAME MASTER

Jess Stellmann (she/her) has been playing in and running Table Top RPGs, mostly D&D, for over a decade. She is passionate about creating table environments that allow all players to feel safe and respected, even when their characters may be in mortal peril.
When she isn’t running games of D&D, Jess is a science educator and program director at USC’s Joint Educational Project (Serve On!)—she’s likely still thinking about D&D at least a little bit though!

JASMINE
GAME MASTER
ADULT GAME COORDINATOR

Jasmine (she/her) is a screenwriter and TTRPG performer from the Bay Area. She has over ten years of entertainment industry experience and got started playing D&D after finding a group of other nerds in the writers' room who wanted to learn how to play too. When she's not rolling dice, she can be found playing video games that stress her out, buying books she doesn't need, and singing songs to her dogs.

ZACH
GAME MASTER

Zach (he/him) is an actor, writer, and filmmaker from Michigan. He has a deep passion for dungeons, dragons, and all things “nerdy.” He believes that storytelling is the greatest tool in forging a community, and he is excited to be sharing his experience as a storyteller with the community at the Hero Workshop! When he’s not playing D&D, he’s probably writing, exercising, or tutoring chess.

BRYCEN
GAME MASTER

Brycen (He/Him) is a writer and comic artist with a penchant for making people laugh. Hailing from West LA, his specialty is bridging fantasy and the mundane to create uncanny and original stories for everyone. In his eyes, TTRPGs are an amazing tool to teach teamwork, storytelling, and (most importantly) comedic timing. When he’s not rolling dice, Brycen can be found enjoying the sun and sand at Dockweiler beach or posing in a cosplay at your local con!

DYLAN
GAME MASTER

Dylan (He/Him) is a voice actor, podcast producer and comedian born and raised in Los Angeles. Thanks to his podcasts, he has over 10 years of playing and creating TTRPG audio stories for adults and kids alike. He is passionate about the power of group play and firmly believes that telling a story around the table with others is one of the greatest bonding experiences anyone can have.
When he's not doing an over the top NPC voice, Dylan is probably out boxing, playing video games that make him cry, or building his next Magic the Gathering deck.

ERIK
GAME MASTER

Erik (he/him) is an Eagle Scout, actor, and DM from the East Coast who has appeared in
national tours as well as off-Broadway. Over the past seven years he’s focused on
teaching D&D and other TTRPGs to new players of all ages, running games in comic
book shops, living rooms, and gathering halls. His focus is on communal storytelling
and creating a safe, empowering environment where players can truly explore with support. When not rolling dice, he likes playing video games with (and without) his kids and exploring biking trails.

KATIE
SWORDPLAY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Katie (she/her) is a writer, musician, comedian and martial artist from Illinois. She trained under Senior Master Robert Bentley and Instructor Taylor Howerton at Legacy Martial Arts in Quincy, Illinois. She is passionate about helping others build confidence and community through any of her adventures. She believes that whether it’s through a magical TTRPG adventure or a fun sparring match with foam swords, there is always something to learn about yourself, and the world around you.
